Asparagus flame cake - quick to prepare and simply delicious

The time of asparagus is starting and I've got the tastiest recipe for you. I prefer using the green ones which you don't have to peel so much.


You need:

  • 250g flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • (15g yeast)

  • 125ml water


  • 300g sour cream

  • 200g asparagus

  • tomatoes

  • salt & pepper



  1. Mix 250g flour, 1 tsp salt (and 15g yeast, if you like)

  2. add 125ml water

  3. knead till smooth

  4. let the dough rise in a warm place for 30min

  5. wash the asparagus and peel the lower end

  6. cut it into thin slanting slices • roll out the dough in one or multiple flat shapes

  7. spread 300g sour cream

  8. season well with salt & pepper

  9. top with the asparagus and some tomatoes

  10. season once more and drizzle with a bit of olive oil

  11. bake at 250°C (upper/lower heat) for 12-15min
